Andy Duncan - shot gun stock maker - Berkshire workshop

My ancient Purdey is a much loved family heirloom and it was with great sadness when I had to take it out of service when the stock cracked. I was only able to entertain getting a new stock made when my father died and left me a bequest. What better way to spend it than on a gun that he (and his father before him) had loved.

The service I received from Andy from walnut selection to finished product could not have been better. He understood the interest I had in the process and he kept me fully informed and involved.

The outcome has surpassed all my expectations and it is without hesitation that I recommend this excellent craftsman to others.

I was having a problem getting a stock replaced in time for this season. Apart from time constraints with many gunmakers, finding decent walnut blanks suitable for the strains of a pair of self-opening guns seemed to be a problem.
